The European Union and its Member States in Paraguay present the Environmental Action Week 2022. During this period, which runs from October 17 to 29, 2022, activities will be carried out that aim to increase awareness of the climate and environmental crisis. The actions include cleaning the Asunción Bay, a concert by the H2O Orchestra and the water harp, movies, seminars, exhibitions, a flea market, as well as guided tours of the Asunción Wetlands and Parque Caballero.
“This is the time for practical solutions, to act for the planet. It’s time for climate action”, said the Ambassador of the European Union in Paraguay, Javier García de Viedma.
The Environmental Action Week invites citizens to act for the environment. The Saturday, October 22 at 10:00, the traditional Cleaning of the Bay #EUBeachCleanUp will take place with an invitation to those interested to participate in the conference, who must register in advance here. The meeting will be in front of the #YoAmoAsu sign, located on the Asunción waterfront. Members of the European Union team in Paraguay will accompany the activity, as well as the Ambassador, Javier García de Viedma.
He too Tuesday, October 25, at 8:00 p.m. in the Central Bank of Paraguay, the Concert of the H2O Sounds of Water Orchestra will be presented, with the special highlight of the water harp. The night’s repertoire will include songs by national and international composers, lasting approximately 45 minutes. The water harp will delight those present during the concert, and at the end of the event, it will be available to the public for a closer experience.
The activities are from free and open access and will be promoted on the social networks of the European Union in Paraguay (EU IN PARAGUAY).
Environmental Action Week
Each year Team Europe, made up of the European Union and its Member States, organizes the Environmental Action Week in Paraguay. In this 6th edition, the events are promoted by the European Union, the Embassies of Germany, Spain, France and Italy, the Juan de Salazar Cultural Center, the French Alliance in Asunción and the Paraguayan-German Cultural Institute.
