The European Union (EU) and Japan have agreed to deepen their energy cooperation in terms of efficiency, liquefied natural gas and hydrogen, as indicated this Saturday by the European Commissioner for Energy, Kadri Simson.
The policy was expressed in this sense after holding its first meeting with the Japanese Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry, Yasutoshi Nishimura, after the discussions of the G20 Energy Ministers in Indonesia.
“We agreed to deepen the energy cooperation between the EU and Japan on energy efficiency, liquefied natural gas and hydrogen,” Simson wrote on his Twitter social network profile.
He added that Tokyo and Brussels also decided to sign a memorandum of cooperation on hydrogen “this year.”
