The ETED will prioritize investments to expand high voltage lines

The administrator of the Dominican Electric Transmission Company (ETED), Alfonso Rodriguezstated that the institution prioritize investments to advance the expansion of high voltage linesthe repowering of existing infrastructure and the incorporation of storage systems, elements that he said constitute pillars of the new institutional strategic plan.

When speaking on the panel “Modernization and challenges of the Dominican electrical system (public vision)”, Rodríguez indicated that the ETEDas an enabler of the infrastructure required for the present and future phases of the energy transition in the country, began the reformulation of its investment plan, in alignment with the new National Energy Plan (2025-2038), presented by the National Energy Commission (CNE).

  • The ETED, through its general administrator, and in its role as a catalyst for resilient, modern and low-carbon infrastructure for the energy transition, was part of the dialogues on energy and climate change, sponsored by the Pontifical Catholic University Madre y Maestra, the Madre y Maestra Foundation and the association of graduates of that academy.
