The infections of Covid-19 in the municipality of La Paz continue to rise. This Friday, the Government headquarters registered 1,550 new cases, while 2,315 cases were reported throughout the department.

The Departmental Health Service (Headquarters) also reported this day on the death of 10 people due to this disease and 220 who recovered.

The daily report shows 605 new cases registered in the municipality of El Alto and 160 infections in rural areas.

According to data from Headquarters, the department of La Paz adds a total of 126,090 infections and 2,913 deaths due to the virus, since the start of the pandemic. The fatality rate is 2.3%.

In addition, it indicates that a total of 107,220 people beat the disease.

Previously, Headquarters reported that the increase in positives will continue until the end of the month and warned of a possible “overflow” in hospitals. While the doctors warned that due to the new omicron variant, the spread of the virus is fast.
