The attacker Bia Zanerattowho has played in four World Cups with the Brazilian team and was the goalscorer and champion of the Copa Libertadores with the Palmeiras in 2022, will reinforce the São Paulo team in 2026 after two seasons in the Kansas City Current United States. The return of the ‘Empress’ to the Palmeiras women’s team was announced this Tuesday in a statement by the green team from the Brazilian city of Sao Paulo, in which the scorer will play for the fourth time.
Zaneratto, with 55 goals in 83 games, is the second highest scorer in the history of Palmeiras, surpassed only by Amanda Gutierres, who has 74 goals in 103 games. Zaneratto was also the main star and scorer in the 2012 campaigns with which Palmeiras won the Copa Libertadores and the Paulista Championship.

“It’s very good to be able to return home. All the love I received when I was here, and even when I left, made my decision easier when it came to returning,” said the 32-year-old attacker quoted in a club statement. The soccer player said that for her return she also told of the affection she received from her future teammates last year, when she accompanied them in the final of the Copa do Brasil, in which Palmeiras won this title for the first time.
“I was in the game and they asked me to return. I am very happy because, in addition to the fans, the cast also wanted my return,” said the forward, who, with the Brazilian team, played in four World Cups (2011, 2015, 2019 and 2023) and two Olympic Games (2016 and 2020) and won two Copa América (2018 and 2022). With the national team shirt, Zaneratto has 12 goals in 36 games.
