The Minister of Health, Ferdinand Ruiz, this August 5 he said goodbye to his position, during the last Unified Command Post of the government of Ivan Duke.
Ruiz said that “we are probably facing the most acute crisis in our society. And surely, most certainly, the most serious public health crisis.”

He also explained that between 70% and 80% of Colombians have been affected by the coronavirus at some point in these two and a half years.
He stressed that more than 87.3 million anticovid doses and more than 36.4 million of Colombians have complete vaccination schedules.
“Despite the fact that the credibility of the Colombian health system was in question at the start of the pandemic, it was possible to restore the stewardship of the Ministry of Health and the health system, on the health and well-being of all Colombians,” he said.

Finally, he pointed out that “I want to end by saying that word that is very important, thank you all very much.”
