The Electric Union (Une) today reported a maximum impact of 650 megawatts (MW) during daytime hours and 690 MW during peak hours.
The company indicated that yesterday the service was affected due to a deficit in generation capacity during 24 hours a day, reaching 708 MW in peak hours, at 8:30 pm.
He reiterated that units 5, 6 and 7 of the Mariel Thermoelectric Power Plant (CTE) are out of service due to breakdowns; the unit of the CTE Otto Parellada; unit 2 of the CTE Santa Cruz; unit 4 of the CTE Nuevitas; unit 2 of the CTE Felton and unit 5 of the CTE Rente.
CTE Guiteras and unit 3 of CTE Rente are undergoing maintenance. For peak hours, the entry of unit 2 of the CTE Santa Cruz with 65 MW, of unit 5 of the CTE Renté with 75 MW and the use of 160 MW in diesel engines is forecast.
With this forecast, an availability of 2,330 MW and a maximum demand of 2,950 MW are estimated at this time, for a deficit of 620 MW, so if the forecast conditions are maintained, an affectation of 690 MW is forecast at this time.
The Antonio Guiteras CTE unit is expected to join the National Electric System tonight after peak hours.
