The Economic and Social Council headed by the Secretary for Strategic Affairs, Gustavo Beliz, will face the remainder of the year with the presentation in society of what has been done since its creation and will focus on a work agenda focused on the Multi-year Plan within the framework of the negotiations for the foreign debt.
During a meeting of that body that was held this Thursday at Government House, it was the Beliz who announced that “in the coming weeks” the members will be summoned to analyze the details of the economic plan that will serve as the basis for the agreement with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Thus, the Council would serve as “an instance of discussion” with “the social actors” of the country, a debate that would be parallel to the one that will take place in the National Congress from the sending of an initiative in the first days of next December that was announced by President Alberto Fernández.
This Thursday’s meeting comes a few days after the president summoned the political opposition to a dialogue to “agree on an agenda as shared as possible” for the future, in the message delivered on Sunday night after the legislative elections. .
That same night, the president announced that in December he will send the Multi-year Economic Program to Congress under the premise of “reaching an agreement with the Monetary Fund (IMF) to have a sustainable and sustainable debt.”
On the other hand, as confirmed by official sources, at the meeting this Thursday in the Hall of the Original Peoples of the Casa Rosada, each counselor had their turn to report on the progress of various projects.
For his part, the president of the Buenos Aires Cereal Exchange, José Martins, for example, analyzed before the forum the guidelines for the creation of a “Regime to promote agro-industrial development”, while Judge María del Carmen Battaini offered details on the Code of Judicial Ethics.
On the other hand, it was pointed out that the “legislative agenda” in Congress will include initiatives prepared by that forum.
In the last hours, the Economic and Social Council formalized the call for the project “PlanesxEmpleo”, which opens the possibility for proposals of ideas to be presented for the design of public policies that aim to promote genuine employment, especially aimed at reducing informal work, from a territorial and sectoral development perspective.
At the meeting this Thursday, it was also reported that, before the end of the year, an “activity” will be held to account for “the initiatives that have not yet been presented” and “exhibit a memory of what has been done.”
