The mayor of Bogotá Claudia López said Bogotá at the end of 2022 will have nine ecotourism and bird watching trails.
The announcement of the president of Bogota was made, after going through and reviewing two trails in the Eastern Hills.
This Saturday the mayor walked the San Francisco – Vicachá trails, at 3,550 meters above sea level, and Guadalupe – Aguanoso, 3,520 meters above sea level.

The district official was doing a walk in the eastern hills that lasted more than six hours.
The tour of the eastern hills was made by the Mayor Claudia López in the company of the Secretaries of Environment and Security, the Director of Tourism to celebrate Global Bird Daywhich is an annual celebration of the birds that surround us.
For Mayor Claudia López, signage, environmental interpretation and safety, on the trails of San Francisco – Vicachá and Guadalupe – Aguanoso they are ready for the enjoyment of Bogota citizens and tourists.
The mayor Claudia López personally verified the status of these two ecotourism attractions, key in the Comprehensive Trails Plan and intervened in a coordinated management between the security and environment secretariats, as well as with the help of the Aqueduct Company and the District Tourism Institute.
Likewise, he maintained that “this is a wonder of nature for all Bogota citizens and Colombians, they have to come and visit them.”

To make the tour of the San Francisco – Vicachá trail, the road takes 45 minutes going up and 30 going down, initially you walk 1.5 kilometers from the Chorro de Padilla to the parking lot of the Humboldt Institute,
Then the mayor of Bogotá made a 2 hour and 30 minute tour of the path between the Guadalupe and Aguanoso hills, of approximately 5.7 kilometers, verifying that it is in very good condition and is now open to the public.
Aguanoso is one of the highest points of the ecological trails in service in the country’s capital –at 3,520 meters above sea level– and is part of the Páramo Cruz Verde, which in turn is part of the Páramo de Sumapaz complex.
