This Friday morning was extradited Luis Alfredo YC, the man that, on board a vehicle, hit and killed a cyclist of Spanish nationality on December 25, 2022, on the road to Clara Chuchío.
The Vice Minister of Citizen Security, Roberto Ríos, indicated that after the diplomatic formalities with the Argentine authorities, after five months, it was possible to extradite the driver who took the life of Gonzalo Frias, 34, an elite cyclist training on the route to Warnes.
“The investigative work was carried out and from this, today we can report that on BoA flight 630, the extradited Luis Alfredo YC arrived from Argentina, whowho is required by the Public Prosecutor’s Office”, informed the deputy minister.
Interpol personnel assisted in the investigative process and the transfer of the foreigner to be made available to the Warnes prosecutor’s office, accused by the h crimesomicide, serious and very serious injuries in a traffic accident and omission of help.
Ríos recalled that the accident occurred at 12:30 p.m. on December 25 on the new route to Warnes, an area that the Spanish cyclist frequented daily until the driver, while intoxicated, ran over him by reach, abandoned him in the place and fled.
“After several days of coordination with the Argentine peers, the driver’s arrest was achieved when tried to evade an immigration checkpoint with his family, in Salta. Since his arrest, coordination has been made to proceed with his extradition and Luis Alfredo arrived in the country today,” he explained.
