The digitization of the Dominican bank is getting better grades. At least that is reflected in the second version of the ranking of Digitization of the Dominican Banking Sector recently published by the Superintendency of Banks.
This tool measures the implementation of new technologiesand the availability of channels and digital functionalities in the sector.
The Superintendency explains in its report that the adoption of new technologies has been reflected in the services offered by financial intermediation entities, allowing during 2022 access to products and services in a manner 100% digital.
This advance in digital services has meant that, in the transactional mix of multiple banks, the use of branches I know reduced from 41.5% in 2021 to 35% in 2022.
Also, there was a 30 point increase Percentage of the number of savings and loan associations that offer personal online banking to their customers.
The results of ranking They are obtained from the information provided by the different financial intermediation entities, and these data are complemented with surveys carried out on various financial users, explains the Superintendence of Banks.
“While it is true that the objective of this publication is not to point out that one entity is better than another, we understand that it is a useful tool for the decision making from the supervised entities”, indicates the institution.
