The dollar closed this Monday at $40,178 in the interbank price with a drop of 1.07% compared to Friday’s close.
The maximum price traded through the Bevsa screens was $40.25 and the minimum was $40.10, with an average value of $40.18. The total operation of this Monday was for US$ 17.3 million.
On the board of Banco República (BROU), the dollar ended the day at $38.90 for comparison and $41.30 for sale.
In Argentina, the blue dollar began the week with a drop of 3 Argentine pesos and traded at 285 Argentine pesos for purchase and 290 for sale. The gap with the official exchange rate was 118% at the start of trading on Monday. The closing had a slight increase in its value and was quoted at 292 Argentine pesos for sale with a drop of 0.34%.
On the official side, the retail exchange rate advanced to 139.75 pesos at Banco Nación and $140.58 at the average of financial entities, The wholesale dollar closed the day at 133.57 pesos with a rise of 68 cents compared to the previous closing.
Globally, the dollar index, which measures the currency against six other currencies, ended at 106.32, down 0.16 from the last close.
