During the first session, the US currency registered a drop of 0.32%, and it was $39,020 in the wholesale average, according to data from the Electronic Stock Market (Bevsa).
So far this year, the dollar has fallen 2.6% compared to the closing value of last year.
The operations of the day totaled US$ 41 million, according to data from the Central Bank of Uruguay (BCU) and there was no intervention from the monetary authority that remains outside the market.
On the board of Banco República (Brou) the dollar was trading at $37.85 for purchase and $40.25 for sale close to closing.
Regionally, in Brazilthe main exchange reference market, the US currency fell 0.68% to 5.218 reais per unit.
And globally, the Dollar Index which measures the value of the US dollar In relation to a basket of foreign currencies, it was 103,237 with a daily negative variation of 0.29%.
