The dog saved the day, detected drugs in cookies that were trying to introduce to La Nueva Joya

A dog from the Penitentiary Canine Unit detected three ladies trying to introduce an alleged illicit substance into artisanal cookies. The fact was recorded in the review of values ​​for the visit of relatives in sector D of La Nueva Joya. When marking the dog, the custodial personnel proceeded to verify the packages in the presence of the women.

After the corresponding review with a scanner, another visiting lady was caught trying to insert a wrapper with “feeling” sheets into her private parts.

The Penitentiary Security Department prepared the corresponding report on the four women in order to refer the case to the competent authority.

Euclides Joel Castillo G., General Director of the Penitentiary System, stated that they maintain strong security operations at the entrance of all the penitentiary centers in the country, to prevent the entry of prohibited substances and articles, with the purpose of maintaining healthy coexistence between the prison population.

The Director stressed that the Department of Prison Security will maintain constant patrols and will continue to reinforce security controls.
