The Minister of Justice and Human Rights of the province of Buenos Aires, Julio Alak, led the act of handing over 260 identity documents to persons deprived of their liberty in prisons 15 and 50 in the town of Batán, and the documentation plan already exceeds 16,000 DNI delivered in prison units in Buenos Airesit was officially reported.
Through a statement, it was indicated that the documentation plan promoted by the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights, together with the Ministry of Government, managed to quintuple in a year and a half the number of procedures carried out in 2019 by the previous administration.
In addition to accrediting the identity of inmates from penitentiary units in the province, The plan made it possible to access other fundamental rights for social inclusion, such as health, education and job training.l.
Together with the processing and delivery of the DNI, the plan included document management persons never registered, birth certificates, gender changes, acknowledgments of sons and daughters, rectifications and documentation certifications.
Likewise, it was reported that after the delivery of the documents, the head of the Ministry of Justice and Human Rights of the Province, Julio Alak, participated in the official celebration of an intramural marriagewith the accompaniment of relatives and authorities of the Buenos Aires Penitentiary Service (SPB).
Also participating in the activity were the Undersecretary for Prison Inclusion Policies, Diego Rao; the provincial director of Education, Labor Training and Documentation, Ana Sanguinetti; the provincial director of Coordination, Production and Work, Marcelo Iafolla; the director of Education and Labor Training in the Context of Confinement, Yamila Olariaga; the director of Documentation and Identity, Federico Carrique; and Andrea Giménez who served as Justice of the Peace in the marriage union, other SPB authorities.
