An open microphone captured a surprising conversation between the president of China, Xi Jinping, and the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, during his meeting in Beijing about a great military parade this Wednesday.
The leaders talked about organ transplants as a means to prolong life.
According to the recording, Putin even suggested that eternal life could be possible thanks to biotechnology innovations.
This moment was captured by carelessness in a live broadcast of Chinese state television while the two leaders and Kim Jong-un, from North Korea, walked together for the historic Tiananmen square in China.
XI and Putin have been in power for 13 and 25 years. Neither of them has expressed intentions to leave the position.

The Russian state news agency Tass He cited it by saying: “Modern recovery methods, medical methods, even surgical ones that deal with organ replacement, allow humanity to aspire to make active life more time than today.”
“Life expectancy is different in each country, but it will increase significantly.”
By presenting the huge arsenal of weapons that China possesses – including global nuclear missiles – to commemorate the eighth anniversary of the end of World War II, XI said that the world faces an election between peace and war.
Wednesday’s parade was the first time that the leaders of China, Russia and North Korea appeared together in public, which some observers interpreted as a message to the western nations that have shunned them.
Putin and Kim joined another 24 dignitaries in the parade, including Iran’s president, Masoud fishshkian; Pakistan’s prime minister, Shehbaz Sharif; Luong Cuong, from Vietnam, and Emmerson Mnangagwa, from Zimbabue.
China has tried to position itself as a possible counterweight to the United States since the imposition of Donald Trump’s tariffs.
On Wednesday, the US President accused XI of conspiring against the United States with the leaders of Russia and North Korea.
In a publication in Truth Social, Trump wrote: “Please, transmit my most cordial greetings to Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong-un while conspiring against the United States of America.”
