This Thursday night, the negotiation of the dialogue table in Penonomé continued, where the National Government stated that there were approaches in contact tables, there were proposals and counterproposals and it considered that it should go to Phase II to discuss the disagreements.
Cherty Mendieta, facilitator of this agreement, indicated that for the second phase it seeks to address the axes on food security and sovereignty, public infrastructure, education, health, social security, labor, dissent achieved in the first phase, among others.
In addition, it is proposed that the new facilitator be an international organization of the United Nations that acts as a mediator, with the exception of the UNDP, and it will be debated through plenary, with two sessions per week and in an estimated period of 3 months, with representatives of each sector, including 8 main and 8 substitutes.
For their part, the social groups propose that the debate be broadcast by SERTV, and that provided by the Executive Branch, and that the first meeting be held on September 23 and 24 at 10:00 am at the Technological University of Panama, where the facilitator will be chosen.
It was decided to resume the dialogue this Friday, September 16 at 10:30 a.m.
