The General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII) reported today that denounced before the Investigation Unit of Tax Crimes of the Public Ministry to three men by counterfeit tags.
The institution identified the defendants as Rafael Antonio Bautista Viloria, Rafael Núñez Lopez and Juan Heredia Peralta, who, according to what it indicated, they were arrested last february 7 in flagrante delicto by the National Police.
“Bautista Viloria and Núñez Lopez were in charge of 72 and 11 tags of fake motor vehicles, respectively, in the surroundings of Enriquillo Park of the San Carlos sector, National District, during a routine operation of the Counterfeit Investigation Department of the National Police,” said the DGII in a press release.
He added that Bautista Viloria had already been subjected by the Public Ministry, product of a complaint filed by the DGII on November 16, 2022, when he was also arrested in flagrante delicto by the National Police for the same acts of forgery. On that occasion they took care of him 199 false tags.
Due to the fact, the Permanent Attention Court of the National District imposed him as coercive measures an economic guarantee, the prohibition to leave the country without authorization and the obligation to appear periodically before the judge, reported the DGII.

“About Heredia Peralta He was arrested in the afternoon of the same day, February 7, at Km 12 of the Independencia highway, National District, taking care of him. 114 false tags“, notified the institution.
It indicated that, in a subsequent raid carried out by the Public Ministry, machines and materials were seized with which he clandestinely manufactured the false tags.
“The actions of these citizens violate the provisions of articles 204, 236, 237, 238, 242 and 243 of the Dominican Tax Code, and articles 139, 147, 148, 150, 151, 265, 266 and 405 of the Dominican Penal Code , reasons why they are being subjected to the action of justice“, specified the DGII.
