Assassination attempt on the vice president Cristina Fernandez de Kirchnerprior planning, agreement of the parties, transportation of firearms without authorization and stockpiling of ammunition were some of the crimes charged to Fernando André Sabag Montiel and his girlfriend Brenda Uliarte Within the framework of the inquiries in which the aggressor refused to testify, but in which he left a striking phrase: “Brenda had nothing to do with it…and neither did I.”
The investigation of Uliarte was finalized this Tuesday, while Judge María Eugenia Capuchetti and the prosecutor Sabag Montiel Carlos Rivolo they took an enlargement in which again refused to testifybut he left that phrase with which he sought to disassociate his girlfriend from the fact and then himself, despite the fact that hundreds of images show him holding the weapon that he pointed at the former president’s head.
In its turn, Uliarte had said that he had nothing to do with the attempted murder or with its planning, that she only went to the Vice President’s house to accompany her boyfriend and that what he did seemed aberrational: she did not want to answer questions from either the court or the prosecution, and only answered to his official defender, Gustavo Kolman.
The details of the imputation
Judicial sources detailed this Wednesday afternoon that the two they were chargedtextually, “having tried to kill Cristina Elisabet Fernández de Kirchner -Vice President of the nation and President of the Honorable Chamber of Senators of the Nation-, counting for this on the planning and prior agreement between the two”.
“This conduct took place on 09/01/22 at approximately 9:00 p.m. at the intersection of Juncal and Uruguay streets in this Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, more precisely in front of cadastre 1409 of the first of the aforementioned arteries when the Vice President was greeting people who were in the place”, continues the accusation.
The judge blamed them for having acted “taking advantage of the defenseless state” of the former president “generated by the crowd”, as Télam learned from reliable sources.

The accusation clearly reads that Sabag Montiel is accused of having pointed at Fernández de Kirchner “to his face with a pistol 32-caliber single-action semi-automatic, Bersa brand, Lusber 84 model with the number ´25037´ on the left side of the barrel, activating the trigger tail on at least one occasion without firing despite being loaded with five bullet cartridges of the same caliber and be suitable for their specific purposes”.
“The aforementioned event had prior planning and agreement. Brenda Uliarte was present in the vicinity of the place where they arrived together, having determined that they had the firearm kidnapped with her ammunition from a date prior to the event, at least since August 5, 2021,” according to the accusation that was read to both of them.
In addition, they were accused of having carried and/or had the firearm “without having the proper legal authorization, which they previously received with the numbering partially suppressed at the base of its handle and knowing it.”
They were also accused of having collected two boxes of ammunition, with fifty .32 caliber cartridges each, containing the denomination MAGTECH, which were seized on September 2, in one of the raids carried out.
In addition, they were accused of having falsified and/or having participated in the falsification of the disability certificates issued in their name by the Ministry of Health of the Province of Buenos Aires, through the provision of their affiliation data.
