Travelers combine national and international options.
Colombia News.
The penultimate long weekend of the year, which takes place from November 14 to 17, is shaping up to be a perfect opportunity to travel. Colombians not only seek to relax, but also explore new destinations, inside and outside the country.
National destinations that continue to conquer
The Colombian Caribbean continues to be the first option. Cartagena tops the list of most searched destinations, with flights averaging $392,894 and a 10% increase in searches compared to last year. The island of San Andrés remains a favorite, with higher prices, close to $699,883, and a 5% increase in travel intention. Santa Marta also stands out, although its searches remain stable.
For its part, Bogotá occupies fifth place, but with less interest compared to coastal cities. Flights average $404,895, and searches have fallen 14%, showing that Colombians prefer sun and beach destinations for this type of getaway.
The look becomes international
Interest in leaving the country is also growing. Punta Cana, in the Dominican Republic, has established itself as the most attractive international destination, with a 46% increase in searches and an average price of $1,528,151. Nearby and affordable Panama City is also seeing strong growth in searches (41%), with flights even down 6% compared to last year.
Travel trends: sun, beach and adventure
The analysis reveals a clear trend: Colombians seek to combine rest with unique experiences. Beaches continue to dominate preferences, but international travel shows that more and more travelers want to take advantage of long weekends to “stamp their passport” and discover new horizons.
With the penultimate festive long weekend, those who decide to travel have the possibility of choosing between national destinations full of history and nature or exploring international beaches, confirming that adventure and rest are the main drivers of November getaways.
