The General Directorate of Internal Taxes (DGII) reiterated that the deadline for the sale of the label without surcharges through authorized financial institutions expires this Tuesday, January 31Therefore, he recalled that there will be no extension and those who do not renew on time must do so through a Local Administration with the payment of a penalty, in addition to the amount of the tax.
In this sense, the DGII invited all taxpayers to take advantage of these last days, in order to meet the established deadlines and avoid sanctions.
Likewise, the DGII reported that at noon this Friday they had been sold 1,369,216 tags of the 1,684,837 eligible vehicles for renewal. This supposes a collection for this concept of 2,261,212,500 pesos of the estimated 2,734,183,500 pesos.
Via the web portal dgii.gov.do 130,729 tags were sold, 40,768 in offices of the DGII Y 1,197,719 in financial entities and authorized cooperatives.
The values of the Vehicle Circulation Tax (label) remain unchanged in relation to the previous period:
- 1,500 pesos for vehicles manufactured until 2017.
- 3,000 pesos for vehicles manufactured from 2018, inclusive, onwards.
For renewal are available 33 financial entities and cooperatives with 689 branches distributed throughout the national geography; as well as in the collections of the DGII from Villa Vásquez, Montecristi province, and from Sánchez, Samaná province.
sanctions
The amounts corresponding to the sanctions for non-renewal during the established term:
- 2,000 pesos (surcharge) to vehicles that renew after January 31, 2023.
- 2,100 pesos to vehicles without renewing the tag 2021-2022 (2,000 pesos for the concept of a sanction for non-renewal + 100 pesos for the concept of administrative cessation).
- 3,100 pesos to vehicles without renewing the tag 2020-2021 and previous years (3,000 pesos for a penalty for non-renewal + 100 pesos for administrative termination).
