This Thursday the 48-hour period given by the Judiciaryon November 10, to reinstate the nation’s suspended fiscal, Delia Espinozawho was expected to go to the headquarters of the Public Ministry in the morning hours.
Espinoza was expected to attend the prosecutor’s office today, after a judge ordered his return on November 10 within a maximum period of 48 hours. However, the National Board of Justice (JNJ) has not complied with the court ruling, arguing that the provision requires clarification and that the disciplinary procedure is still ongoing.
For his part, the acting national prosecutor, Tomás Gálvez, has declared that he will not hand over the position until the JNJ issues a formal resolution validating the court ruling. In that sense, he considers that Espinoza misinterprets the rules.
According to Perú21 sources, Gálvez has ordered that workers on the 9th floor, including prosecutors, work remotely until next Monday.
