One of the most important cultural events in the region is the Youth Folk Festival of Regional Dances Elay Puejwhich this Saturday was held at the cambodromo in its thirty-first version.

Before an audience that filled the stands placed in the route from the fourth to the fifth ring of the linear park of Mutualista Avenue, it was possible to appreciate the talent and color they showed the more than 1,300 dancers from 15 artistic groups.

The oldest regional dance event in Santa Cruz, organized by the cultural project Paititi, directed by Hector Molina, presented this time some novelties in the participation of new casts, such as the dance corps of the Enrique Finot Teacher Training School, which presented two paintings, one of them is a chobena and the other, a dance from 200 years ago that gives rise to the carnival. The piece was proposed by the director of the festival.

Also The Querembas ballet (one of the oldest) stood out on the tour, and the Hamacas, Arte Chaqueño and Sombrero ‘e Saó ballets, as well as children’s, school and university groups, among which Mario Vaca Díez and Marcelino Champagnat stood out.
