Carolina Holguín was 60 years old and an amateur cyclist who died this Saturday after an accident with a cargo truck on the road between Villa de Leyva-Santa Sofía in Boyacá.
The event occurred in the Santo Ecce Homo sector on the border of those two municipalities, so far the report is that the heavy load vehicle threw the cyclist.
As confirmed by the Policeman of that department, Holguín – sister of former Foreign Minister María Ángela Holguín – died at the site of the accident.
Colonel Jorge Miguel Cabra Díaz, Commander DEBOY, indicated that the judicial police arrived at the site to investigate the causes of the accident.
