The CPI for August was 0.83%: in the last year it accumulates 9.53%

The monthly value of 0.83% is the highest since March and the annualized figure of 9.53% continues to be outside the target range established by the government of between 3 and 7%.

The main incidences in the variation come from the food and non-alcoholic beverages category: 0.79% bread and cereals: 1.52%. The increases in flute bread (0.79% wheat flour (2.46%) and noodles (1.74%) stand out.

Meanwhile, meat increased 0.31%. With incidence of the increase in the price of strip roast (1.79%) and cooked ham (1.75%).

Fruits increased (0.99%). With notable increases in the price of bananas and pears. Legumes and vegetables became 0.88% more expensive.

The housing item increased 0.43% The increases in prices for rental of main residence (0.50%), common expenses (2.14%) and firewood (1.22%) stand out.

The headings of health, recreation and culture, education and restaurants and hotels also had an impact.
