The Monterrey, Toluca and Xalapa regional chambers of the Electoral Tribunal of the Judicial Branch of the Federation (TEPJF) resolved 177 non-conformity lawsuits against the elections of deputies and senators, in none of which did they determine changes in the validity results.
Although in more than 200 state polling stations the votes were declared null and void due to irregularities, such as the presence of officials not endorsed by the electoral authorities, the changes in the results of the district and entity counts did not affect the validity of the winners, who have already been given certificates.
Most of the complaints were filed by the PRD, PAN and PRI, and some by Morena, the PT and MC.
Yesterday, the Toluca regional court resolved a total of 107 lawsuits challenging the results of the elections for deputies and senators in Michoacán, Mexico, Querétaro and Colima. Of these, 37 were declared inadmissible because the promoters lacked legitimacy to present such appeals. Inadmissibility was also determined in 54 lawsuits because the intention was to modify the count of the election for senators, but challenges were filed against the results of the district count and not the state count.
Meanwhile, three appeals were rejected for lacking the signature of the challengers and 13 cases were not proceeded with because they were submitted late.
For its part, the Xalapa regional chamber analyzed 13 lawsuits against elections for deputies and senators by relative majority in Campeche, Chiapas, Quintana Roo, Tabasco, Veracruz, Yucatán and Oaxaca.
In these lawsuits, the PAN and the PRD sought the annulment of votes in certain polling stations because, they claimed, they were staffed by officials not endorsed by the electoral authorities or who did not have an INE credential with the address of the corresponding section, or because there had been an error or fraud in the vote count, so the results did not match.
However, the Xalapa court declared the claims unfounded because the votes were recounted in the polling stations that were being challenged, and the complaining parties did not persist in their inconsistencies after the votes had been recounted.
Although it was decided to modify the results of the vote count in some districts and entities, these changes did not alter the victories.
The Monterrey regional court analyzed 57 complaints from PAN, PRI and PRD against the election of deputies and senators in various polling stations in Guanajuato, Zacatecas, San Luis Potosí, Nuevo León, Coahuila, Tamaulipas and Zacatecas. Although it determined to modify some of the results of the counts due to the annulment of votes in some polling stations, it did not impact the final results, so the victories were confirmed and therefore the declarations of validity.
