The National Lyric Theater of Cuba presents The Pharaoh Courta fun operetta with music by Maestro Vicente Lleó, who returns to the stage in a new montage led by Yhovani Duarte, after ten years of absence. The functions will take place in the Avellaneda Room of the National Theater in Cuba on October 3, 4, 10, 10, 11 and 12.
Set in the Egypt of the Pharaohs, this piece combines elements of the operetta, the zarzuela, the musical magazine and the cuplé, with spicy and double -meaning texts, and even parodic winks to the opera Aída of Verdi.
In the musical direction there will be Yohovani Duarte and Jorge Félix Leyva García at the head of the Symphony Orchestra of the Great Theater of Havana Alicia Alonso, while the choral direction corresponds to Denisse Falcón Lay.
The cast brings together recognized soloists such as Maite Milián, Carlos Humberto Lara, Jorge Early, Yailen Videaux, Adis Herrera, Ariagna Reyes, as well as young talents and the choir of the National Lyric Theater of Cuba, along with the students of his teaching unit.
