In the anniversary month of Santa Cruz, the Telecommunications Cooperative (Cotas) announced that will not have a stand at Expocruz 2022, after being present at the show -year after year- since 1965. At the time of mentioning his absence, he stated that he will have news of interest to the Santa Cruz population, including campaigns that will benefit his clients, advances in his IPTV system and the development of his neutral fiber optic network.
“September is also the month of our Exhibition Fair. On this occasion, although Cotas will not present itself with a stand, it continues to be the official telecommunicator of the fair”, for which “it will provide all visitors with Wi-Fi zones with you and free data in areas of massive influx”, indicated the company, on the eve of its 62nd anniversary.
In an interview given to EL DEBER, in 2018, the former commercial manager of Fexpocruz, Víctor Hugo Suárez, maintained that the fair had the support of Cotas, which had participated in Expocruz since 1965. Cotas, like the Santa Cruz CRE and Saguapac cooperatives, They always stood out in the international fair for occupying large spaces and setting up interactive exhibitions.
While one of the first novelties is that the cooperative launched a commercial campaign for the benefit of its members and clients, both new and old, giving them a 25% increase in internet speed for all your plans at no cost. The benefit will be valid until December 31, 2022.
Continuing with the diversification of content and innovations in Internet television (IPTV), it will also present in the coming days an international agreement with which it will launch a multi-device OTT platformwhich will offer a wide catalog of films and series “with very convenient and nationwide plans.”
As part of its technological renewal projects, it will also present the comprehensive Santa Cruz 4.0 project, for the deployment of the main neutral fiber optic network to the home. “This ambitious project, which has been worked on throughout the year, It will allow to strengthen the connectivity, speed and stability capabilities of the internet in all points of the city”, highlighted the cooperative in a press release.
With this technology, users will be able to access Internet plans of more than 100 Mbps, with speeds of 200, 300, 500 and 1 Gbps, as well as other advances such as the Internet of Things (IOT), entertainment and gaming applications, cloud services. This system will also allow laying the foundations for the smart city and 5G.
In addition, through its alarm and monitoring service, Cotas will be in charge of security for the ten days of the fair, informed the cooperative, which “seeks to renew itself, leaving mistakes behind, and adding new contributions to the development of Santa Cruz.”
The information is known after Cotas suffered a millionaire embezzlement and in the midst of other complaints of irregularities within the organization.
