The Comptroller General of the Republic took note of the name proposed by President Gabriel Boric to be part of the council of the National Institute of Human Rights (INDH).
This is the lawyer and Master in Constitutional Law, Juan Carlos Cayo, who is a former adviser to the Constitutional Convention and a member of the Aymara people. As he stated Radio Biobiohis name was already sounding in the corridors of the political world.
With the arrival of Cayo, the minimum quorum that the INDH council needs to choose the new director is met, after the controversial departure of Sergio Micco.
It is worth mentioning that Micco submitted his resignation to the INDH directorate, after a group of advisers from the organization requested his resignation. Thus ended a conflictive relationship between the organization and the academic who today assures that everything started with prejudices against him and that it ended in a “cancellation” towards his management.
