Christian Leandro Carmona Muñoz, a 34-year-old Colombian from Pereira, is performing a unique feat that is capturing the world’s attention: going around the planet on foot.
This ambitious journey, which began in Bogotá in mid-2024, will take him across five continents for an estimated period of between 10 and 15 years, in which he will travel thousands of kilometers without using any means of transportation, except his own effort to travel. walk.

Christian’s journey is not only a geographical journey, but a life project. His passion for exploring and his love for nature began to manifest in 2022, when he began his first adventure walking from Pereira to Bogotá.
During this walk of approximately 360 kilometers, he visited the Los Nevados National Natural Park, which lit the spark of his great dream: to see the world by walking.

In 2023, Carmona undertook one of his most emblematic journeys, called “Travesía Premos”, in which he traveled 3,057 kilometers walking through Colombia, visiting nine national parks and climbing a moor in each of them.
This journey, which took him around nine and a half months, was completed entirely on foot, which already demonstrated his impressive physical and mental endurance.
The trip included regions as diverse as the Colombian Andes and the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, which made this challenge a profound encounter with the country’s biodiversity and culture.
At the end of the “Travesía Premos”, Carmona collaborated with the motorcycle company CFMOTO to carry out another route.
Aboard a 700CL-X ADV, he traveled 5,000 kilometers from Santa Marta to Bogotá while preparing the details of his next great adventure: walking around the world.
Although the motorcycle leg was a brief interlude, his passion for walking remained the essence of his project.

The journey around the world officially began in Bogotá, from where Christian headed north, crossing several Central American countries.
At this moment, he is in Panama, facing the challenge of crossing the canal and continuing his way north. In the coming months, it is expected to continue its route to the United States, Canada and Alaska, before continuing to Asia.
Christian’s plan is ambitious and carefully laid out. After arriving in Alaska, you will cross by boat or plane to Asia, where you will walk through the Himalayan region on your way to Europe.
Then, your journey will take you through Africa, from north to south, until you reach South Africa. From there, you will undertake another ocean crossing to Argentina and, finally, walk back to Colombia, culminating your trip in Bogotá, the starting point.
This monumental challenge not only tests your physical endurance, but also your ability to adapt to different cultures, climates and geographies.
