In the midst of the doubts that have been generated regarding the calls for Nestor Lorenzo for the microcycles of the Colombia senior team with players from BetPlay and MLS League that did not qualify for the finals, a new possibility arose for the national team to play a new friendly match in November prior to the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
According to journalist Carlos Antonio Vélez of Antena 2, Colombia could face the Paraguayan team in a preparatory duel in November, before the World Cup begins, which would serve the two selected teams to fine-tune their payrolls having taking into account the next Copa América and the World Cup qualifier for the United States, Mexico and Canada in 2016.

Bearing in mind that it is not a FIFA date and that each of the clubs will be working on preserving the physical condition of each of their players, Lorenzo would turn to the local and Latin American footballers, with whom he has faced each one of the work microcycles to play said meeting.
The national team strategist would also take into account the players from the local environment, with whom he has worked in microcycles and with whom he would also face the friendly duel agreed against the United States in January 2023.
