In general terms of the IEPS (considering the rate charged on fuels and products harmful to health), for January-February 2022, there were an estimated 82,559 million pesos (mdp) for fuel collection, however, 60,613 mdp were obtained , that is, 30.7% less than what was programmed and approved by Congress at the end of 2021.
Tax revenues were 660,097 million pesos, an amount lower than that foreseen in the program by 34,951 million pesos and 0.7% in real terms compared to what was observed in the first two months of 2021.
Oil tankers rebound, without reaching schedule
Oil revenues reached 144,881 million pesos, a real annual figure of 6.2% higher than that registered in the first two months of 2021, mainly due to a higher energy price, as well as higher crude oil production.
However, the observed revenues were 48,308 million pesos below the forecast in the program as a result of lower oil production and domestic sales than estimated.
The agency detailed that total net spending reached 1 trillion 162,119 million pesos, a figure 5.1% higher in real terms compared to that registered in January-February 2021 and lower by 104,394 million pesos than programmed.
He reported that the net debt of the federal government stood at 10.6 billion pesos. 77.9% is denominated in national currency and 76.9% of government securities are fixed rate and long-term, denoting a solid structure of the portfolio in the face of financial market risks.
