The First Lady explained that the home will offer courses to women, through the SNPP, “so that they can have a job, even from their own homes. For his part, the head of the EBY highlighted that the Government has always focused “on the need to establish institutional mechanisms for social protection”, with special emphasis on the most vulnerable children, and that said support was strengthened even in times of pandemic by Covid-19.

“During all this crisis of the pandemic, of external factors that limited our development, the government applied a social protection policy that was applauded and recognized by international organizations; with Pytyvo, Ñangareko, and a host of projects that tried to cushion the economic and social effects of this long pandemic and other crises we are experiencing,” Duarte Frutos said.

The work inaugurated by the National Government was financed by the Yacyretá Binational Entity (EBY), with an investment of ₲ 3,755,928,132. This includes the contribution for civil works, worth 2,839,250,507 guaraníes, the equipment, with 569,596,000 guaraníes and a soybean food plant and orchard, for ₲ 347,081,625.

The infrastructure has a Maternal room and another for Early Childhood, equipped according to the needs for the development of various activities. It also has a dining room, an equipped kitchen, medical and psychological offices, recreational spaces, waiting rooms, a meeting room, a workshop room, administrative offices and an air conditioning system.

This space will provide comprehensive care to girls, boys and their mothers, with food services, timely stimulation, recreation and school support according to the age group served. Mothers will be provided with health care, craft workshops, promotion of rights and comprehensive work with families.

The Ministry of Children and Adolescents will provide six officials for care at the Center, in addition to the provision of other equipment and food.

The Service Center is located in the San Isidro neighborhood of the city of Encarnación, Itapúa (Padre Juan Von Winkel street).
