In the midst of a strong security device, the judge Yerixa Cabralof the Judicial Office of Permanent Attention of the judicial district of Santiagoknows at this moment the measurement audience of coercion against 11 National Police agents, accused of killing five people in a shopping plaza in the La Barranquita sector.
He Public Ministry requests the imposition of 18 months of preventive detention as measure of coercion.
Furthermore, he requests that the case be declared complex, due to the severity of the events and the number of people involved.
Among those prosecuted are the seniors Álvaro Paredes Paniagua and Hansel Michel Cuevas Carrasco; he Captain José Ignacio Gómez Rodriguez; Second Lieutenant Domingo de los Santos Vargas; Corporals Yohandy Encarnación, Geyser Francisco Álvarez Rodríguez and César Augusto Martínez Trinidad; Sergeant Major Sócrates Fidel Féliz Féliz; Sergeant Hairo Mateo Morillo; and privates Adrián Miguel Villalona Pineda and José Octavio Jiménez Peña.

He Public Ministry accuses the group of association of criminals and voluntary manslaughter after the death of:
- Elvis Antonio Martínez Rodríguez (Deivito), 26 years old
- Julio Alberto Gómez (La Tabla), 28
- Carlos Enrique Guzmán Navarro (Charly or Charli Chasc), 40
- Edward Bernardo Peña Rodríguez, 35
- José Vladimir Valerio Estévez, 25 years old
According to the accusatory file, the agents arrived in three vehicles to the square where the victims were and, without saying a word, they opened fire against them, causing their death on the spot.
Relatives of the victims demand justice and exemplary punishment for those responsible for the massacre.
