Santo Domingo.- The Emergency Operations Center (COE) reported that the green alert has increased to twelve provinces due to the fact that scattered showers with thunderstorms and gusts of wind are currently observed, as a result of the incidence of the trough associated with the frontal system in the northwest of the country.
The provinces on green alert are: Puerto Plata, Espaillat, Hermabas Mirabal, María Trinidad Sánchez,
Duarte, Sánchez Ramírez, La Vega, San Cristóbal, Monte Plata, Samaná, La Alrtagracia, La Saona.
In addition, he recommended to the population that the Hydroelectric Generation Company, EGEHID, will continue work on the Aguacate dam until Tuesday, November 26, so it will continue to discharge 40 M3/sec into the Nizao River with the turbines of the Jigüey plant. .

Likewise, the COE maintains the prohibition of the use of the Nizao River and all aquatic activities, from the Aguacate dam to the Valdesia dam reservoir in the community of Mucha Agua in Cambita in the province of San Cristóbal.
