The Mayor’s Office of Panama awarded the contract for the design and construction of a peripheral market in the district of Chilibre, north of the capital, for an amount of $11.9 million.
The work was won by the Bioecological Services and Rentals Consortium after the bidding for best value held on May 3 last.
The market will be built on a two-hectare plot of land located in the Pedernal sector in Chilibre.
It must have 44 modules for commercial premises, grocery stores, sale of grains, seafood, vegetables, fruits and meat products, details the statement of charges.
