In his homily this Sunday, Monsignor René Leigue talks about two important topics: not being afraid and being vigilant“important no, the Lord was also concerned with this, it seems with his disciples, do not fear little flock because your Father has wanted to give you the Kingdom”.
“The gospel speaks of being vigilant. The Lord is always there, at our door to enter, it is not going to be that maybe God is there, he is in our family and sometimes in the family we do not let him enter. Instead of knocking, God is our door to enter, maybe he will knock from the inside out, to leave, because there within the family there is no space, and maybe there are families who are living like this, without God “.
The Archbishop of Santa Cruz referred to the 48-hour strike that is scheduled to begin this Monday, August 8.
“These days or yesterday we have celebrated another year of our country, 197 years of journey, of struggle, of seeking better days and we continue to do so until now, part of that is, for example, what has been said tomorrow here in Santa Cruz that there is unemployment, tomorrow and the day after. So, I think that we are also called to be attentive to those needs that we have, I think that the fight that is being waged is not for a few, it is not for a group of politicians, it is not for a group of people, it is for each one of us and this would not have happened if the laws had been followed, It is the only thing that we are failing in, 10 years the Census has had to work and it was not done, so now what is happening is exactly that. In other words, if we have some laws that God gives us, and we do not comply with those laws that the Lord gives us, it has its consequences,” the monsignor said in front of the parishioners.
And he concludes by stating: “andhe Lord tells us not to be afraid, courage, we must face the difficulties, we must face the problems, but with that faith in God that it will be for something good in the future”.
