As one of its main objectives, the new Morena leadership will seek to consolidate, in its first months of activities, the more than 70 thousand sectional committees throughout the country before the end of 2024.
These are spaces that aim to promote the revolution of consciences
and keep the party as a movement, explained Carolina Rangel, who was appointed general secretary of the party on Sunday.
As one of the new members of the party leadership that will begin its functions on October 1, she indicated that during this week they plan to meet with the outgoing National Executive Committee, headed by Mario Delgado and Citlalli Hernández, who will join the cabinet of the future president, Claudia Sheinbaum.

Rangel stressed in an interview.
He noted that in a recent message from President López Obrador to all parties, including Morena, he urged not to separate ourselves from the people, not to lose our convictions or our closeness to the people
which is why among the goals proposed by the new party leadership is to confirm the 70,751 sectional committees throughout the Republic, in addition to 2,535 municipal committees.
“The main thing is to strengthen and consolidate our party-movement. We have made a lot of progress as a party, also as a movement, but the main thing is to move forward as such, with a movement that can accompany the president-elect Claudia Sheinbaum in what we call plan C“, he added.
Based on this, he reiterated that among the tasks that the committees will have is the dissemination of the constitutional reforms that will be voted on this week in the Senate, in addition to those that are still pending debate in the Congress of the Union and that were proposed by the federal Executive, as well as those that Claudia Sheinbaum will propose during her six-year term.
