One of the aspects that ‘deflated’ Fajardo was the poor results obtained by Gutiérrez in the Atlántico, where he was expected to devastate as it was the political stronghold of Alejandro Char and his family, who participated in the Team for Colombia Coalition, of the which was chosen Fico.
The support of Alejandro Char, who was mayor of Barranquilla twice and had high favorability ratings, was expected to catapulted Federico Gutiérrez into the Atlantic, however, the results of this Sunday’s elections leave a completely different picture.
With 100% of the tables scrutinized in Atlántico, Gustavo Petro swept with 54.75%, that is, 479,049 votes, a figure that doubles the vote for Fico Gutiérrez, who obtained 233,614 votes, representing 26.70% of the total.
In a next step are Rodolfo Hernández, with 113,489 (12.97%), while Sergio Fajardo had 23,382 votes (2.67%).
