The groups convened by the CGT, the CTA, and other trade union spaces and social movements deconcentrated this afternoon around 4:00 p.m. after passing through the National Congress, where they arrived from the Obelisk, within the framework of a mass demonstration against “price makers and speculation”.

The columns of protesters had left at 2:30 p.m. from the intersection of 9 de Julio and Avenida de Mayo with a flag that crossed the street with the motto “Homeland First”supported by the co-secretaries general of the CGT Héctor Daer, Carlos Acuña and Pablo Moyano and other leaders such as Omar Plaini and Sergio Romero, among others.

After approximately an hour of marching, leaders, activists and workers arrived near the Congress of the Nation and shortly after the columns began to lose concentration, while the main references of the CGT went to the headquarters of the Union of Employees of the Justice of the Nation (UEJN), in Perón and Callao, to offer a press conference.

Although it caused logical inconveniences in the center of the city of Buenos Aires, the demonstration of the CGT and the CTA took place in a peaceful manner, controlled by the police and by the union organizations themselves.

Daer, in a message published on his Twitter social network account, which accompanies a photo in which the leader can be seen at the head of his union’s column, had stated this midday: “Together with my colleagues from Health we are already in the Obelisk, to meet compañerxs of sister organizations that are members of CGT”.

“Today we take to the streets in defense of our salary and our rights. Only united can we face the crisis,” Daer remarked.

After noon, in the vicinity of the Obelisk, a stage began to be set up at the intersection of 9 de Julio and Cerrito, and rows of unions from the UDA, UPCN, OSN and the Federation of Municipalities were located there.

Social movements also marked their presence in the Obelisk with columns from UTEP, Somos Barrios de Pie, Movimiento Evita, the Popular Front Darío Santillán, Corriente Clasista y Combativa, Liberación Popular and La Dignidad.

“These political actors must abandon the petty electoral confrontation for the benefit of individual interests. The left marches to Plaza de Mayo

The social organizations of the left and the parties and union organizations of the sector called for a day of alternative struggle against “the adjustment and in support of the struggles”, for which they will not go to Congress but to the Plaza de Mayo starting at 5:30 p.m. .
