In a statement, the body that brings together the largest mining companies in the country highlighted that in the past five years the proportion of women who work directly in the mining-metallurgical industry has grown on average 0.5 percent each year.

One of the great positive transformations that mining has undergone is the growing participation of women in the sector.pointed out the general director of Camimex, Karen Flores.

More and more women are joining the mining workforce, which represents an important advance in the change towards gender equality and labor inclusion. It is a fact that women are breaking stereotypes and showing that they can do any jobpondered.

For its part, on March 8, the Employers’ Confederation of the Mexican Republic (Coparmex) urged the eradication of violence against women to build an egalitarian country with economic development.
