The Strategic Operational Command of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (ceofanb) ordered a special operation to be carried out in the southern zone of Guárico state, according to military sources.
The operation is carried out by military contingents from Guárico and Apure organized in the Comprehensive Defense Operational Zone (Zodi) corresponding to each of those entities that share a border. In addition, agents from the Cicpc, Bolivarian and Poliguarico National Police are added.
The deployment began two days ago in the Guariqueño municipalities of Francisco de Miranda (Calabozo), Esteros de Camaguán (Camaguán) and San Jerónimo de Guayabal (Guayabal).
Likewise, the operation covers the municipality of San Fernando de Apure, the source explained.
The murder of four individuals in the Medano Alto I (Guayabal) sector triggered alarms at police and military commands. The four bodies were found last Saturday tied with rope and with disfigured faces, according to initial versions.
They point to members of the gang of Octavio José Rojas Martínez (El Fiebre), an alleged cell of the Tren del Llano, a criminal organization dedicated to collecting vaccines from farmers in the llanera region, as responsible for this quadruple homicide.
at the beginning of june Últimas Noticias published a report from the National Anti-Extortion and Kidnapping Command (Conas), according to which there are five cells of the Tren del Llano which group a total of 49 people. One of those cells is directed by El Fiebre, who operates from Calabozo with an incidence in Apure.
And recently in Cazorla, a town in the San Jerónimo de Guayabal municipality, a cell was set up that keeps agricultural producers under threat, according to victims.
The Tren del Llano has its headquarters in the mountains of Altagracia de Orituco, José Tadeo Monagas municipality, located northeast of Guárico, bordering Miranda and Anzoátegui. The criminal organization is led by Oscar de Jesús Noguera Hernández (El Pipi), his lieutenant being Manuel Alejandro Moyetones Castillo (Mandarria).
