For its part, the Secretary of Health, Nadine Gasman, informed that for several months, specialized personnel in emotional health already has a presence in 12 of the 13 Systems and Subsystems of Higher Secondary Education of the capital, which in addition to addressing psychological problems, also prevent additions.
He said that until this October 7, the specialists of the “Full, happy heart” program have served more than 300,000 students and young people, in weekly or biweekly sessions in each of the campuses.
He said that it is already in talks with the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) so that specialists from the Ministry of Health can apply the Emotional Health Program in all the PLANTS of the UNAM.
“We are working with them (UNAM), and in these spaces that work mainly with students, but also with teachers, managers and with families,” he said.
Prosecutor’s Office has 18 complaints of threats at UNAM
The prosecutor of Mexico City, Bertha Mayor Luján, announced that until Tuesday, the agency already has 18 formal complaints before the Public Ministry for the false threats of bomb and damage to students suffered by the National Autonomous University of Mexico, which resulted in the eviction of several campuses and the suspension of classes.
At a press conference, Mayor said that investigations for false threats in CCH and high schools are already advanced and that at least two young people are identified, which were already summoned to testify, which they could face prison sentences.
“The Criminal Code of Mexico City establishes a sentence of one to three years in the case of threats. However, we are seeing if some other crime is configured by which we can impute in these cases,” said the official.
