He stressed that among administrative facilities are the reduction of procedures and opinions, the incorporation of a unique window to evaluate the viability of real estate projects, establish payment exemptions and guarantee environmental sustainability criteria.
“These measures break the walls that have kidnapped housing management,” he said.
In addition, he announced the creation of a unique digital platform to transparent and expedite social housing management processes.
“With this agreement, we will reduce management and response time by 85%, in four months we can exceed most of the procedures that previously took us four, six or up to seven years,” he said.
What are the administrative facilities?
Inti Muñoz, secretary of housing of the capital, announced the new provisions that will be published this Wednesday in the Official Gazette.
Among the main administrative changes are:
• Opinion of properties by the Ministry of Administration and Finance: It will be issued in a month, instead of the four months established by the previous process.
• Services feasibility opinion of the Secretariat of Integral Water Management: It will be resolved in 10 business days, when before it took up to 80 days.
• Environmental Impact Opinion of the Ministry of the Environment: It may be issued in 1 business day if there is no trees or adjoining with protected natural areas, or up to 15 days in other cases, which was previously four months.
• Opinion of the Construction Security Institute: The resolution time is reduced from 225 to 15 calendar days.
• All documents related to housing processes will be extended, to avoid exploiting before the conclusion of the procedures.
Inti Muñoz added that while these measures apply to all of Mexico City, there will be priority for the 12 colonies of Cuauhtémoc and Miguel Hidalgo classified as “real estate areas.”
