With a contest aimed at stimulating artistic production, the Kirchner Cultural Center (CCK) summons artists and musicians from all over the country to present sound pieces to promote accessibility to the sound heritage of the General Archive of the Nation (AGN).
Organized by the Archives area of the Kirchner Cultural Center and the General Archive of the Nation (AGN), the “AGN Award” will distinguish “five projects with the sum of $100,000 (one hundred thousand pesos) each,” the institution reported.
Within the framework of the initiative “mashups, remixes, songs, audio poetry, audio fiction, radio drama, sound art, DJ sets and compositions of any musical genre that use documentary material from the General Archive of the Nation (AGN) as part of them will be admitted”added the body.

The selection jury is made up of the producer and composer Nico Cotton, the music curator and researcher Bárbara Salazar (Barbarelle) and the artistic and radio producer Matías Messoulam.

Visit to the Filoctetes Archive in El Kirchner
Until March 27, Filoctetes Archive: Documents of an intervention can be visited, based on the urban intervention of the artist Emilio García Wehbi who took the streets of the city of Buenos Aires “by storm” in 2002, as an aesthetic response to the devastating neoliberal experiment that was set in motion during the Menem regime and that culminated in the most dramatic crisis in the recent history of our country.
The exhibition brings together a heterodox documentary corpus, classified and preserved from the four editions of Proyecto Filoctetes held in Buenos Aires, Vienna, Berlin and Krakow between 2002 and 2008, two decades after the social upheaval of 2001.
The exhibition located in rooms 101 and 122 of the first basement of the CCK, is made up of testimonies, interviews, photographs, videos, and documents on the production of urban interventions, which required two years of work from Maricel Álvarez, curator of the exhibition. , and can be visited from Wednesday to Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Meanwhile, within the framework of the cycle Three in the drift of the creative act: Tribute to Fernando “Pino” Solanas, Eduardo “Tato” Pavlovsky and Luis Felipe “Yuyo” Noé, the work “Coherente oxymoron” is exhibited, created by Noé in 2014, in which he posits contradiction and paradox as an intrinsic part of a constantly changing contemporary world.
The cycle, which owes its name to the homonymous and posthumous film by Solanas, takes place one year after the departure of the Argentine filmmaker and politician and is organized by the Kirchner Cultural Center together with Cinesur and the Luis Felipe Noé Foundation.
The installation can be visited until March 27, from Wednesday to Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the CCK, located at Sarmiento 151 in the City of Buenos Aires.
