Brazilian television reported the details of the attack plan orchestrated by Jarvis Chimenes Pavão against former President of the Republic, Horacio Cartes. Meanwhile, Mario Abdo Benítez took the incident lightly.
The Cidade Alerta program, of the Brazilian channel Record TV, revealed a report in which it is detailed that the Civil Police discovered that the drug trafficker, Jarvis Chimenes Pavão, would be involved in a plan to kill former President Horacio Cartes.
According to the Brazilian TV report, the meeting to orchestrate the plan would have been held on the border between members of the First Capital Command (PCC) under the command of Pavão, who is being held in the Mossoro maximum security federal prison, in Rio Grande do Norte.
The motivation would be revenge by Pavão against Horacio Cartes for ordering his extradition to Brazil.
This fact caused the alerts of the Brazilian security authorities to be lifted, reinforcing cooperation with the National Anti-Drug Secretariat (Senad) in terms of information regarding the attack plan.
A few days ago, Horacio Cartes himself revealed that the current Minister of the Interior, Federico González, visited him twice at his home to bring him an assassination notice. “Nde jukase president,” he told her.
The version was confirmed by the Ministry of the Interior through a statement.
Once the death threat against former president Horacio Cartes was made known, President Abdo Benitez disqualified it, pointing out that it was a “fight between gangsters”, however, a document from SENAD itself reveals the truth that coincides with what was published on Brazilian TV : The attack would come from Jarvis Chimenes Pavâo because HC ordered his extradition.
