SOLEDAD NÚÑEZ- INDEPENDENT PRECANIDATE

“Corruption and impunity must be banished”

The pre-candidate for the presidency of the Republic, Soledad Núñez, stated that the Prosecutor’s Office should initiate an investigation into Horacio Cartes, who has been declared significantly corrupt, at this very moment. “If the attorney general does not do her job, she should go now! Corruption and impunity have to be banished from Paraguay”, she indicated.

Likewise, Núñez, remarked on 780 AM that Sandra Quiñonez must open an investigation otherwise, an investigation and impunity cannot be tolerated in the country, which is clearly serious. For her, the institutions must do her job and that way they can strengthen that system that is currently quite important for the country’s democracy and also calls for a reflection on the incapacity of the institutions.

ESPERANZA MARTÍNEZ- PRECANIDATE BY ÑEMONGET

“Cartes was a chronicle of a death foretold”

The candidate of the Guasu-Ñemongeta Front, Senator Esperanza Martínez, pointed out that this event marks a before and after in the political history of Paraguay, because the Cartes affair was practically a chronicle of a death foretold.

“We hope that the State Attorney General really acts without protecting Horacio Cartes as he has been doing until now, which is a shame and more than that a foreign government had to come to tell us that the former president is a significantly corrupt person and that he is not welcome. in your country,” he added.

He argued that their cases had to be in the process of trial, not sleeping in the Prosecutor’s Office, he suggested to Sandra Quiñonez, that in the face of this fact present her resignation or not give a public explanation because that is the only way out for Paraguay.

“It’s time to take a stand”

The candidate for Patria Querida, Sebastián Villarejo, expressed that in the first place it is the clear and concrete demonstration that Horacio Cartes from this, becomes and confirms that he is a danger to democratic institutions.

And in this process of construction of the Republic, that cannot continue in a Government when trying to add all the powers and twist the National Constitution that became serious.

On the other hand, he pointed out the concern about the institutions and that another foreign government will come to confirm a serious and institutional government.

“Our Prosecutor’s Office, the Judiciary are always quiet, slow and without forcefulness, I think that an institutional renewal is more important than ever and I think this proves it, we can think that there was never any interest in investigating and it is time to take positions ” , he added.

EFRAÍN ALEGRE-PLRA PRECANDIDATE

“Horacio Manuel Cartes Jara is the head of organized crime”

Efraín Alegre, on 1080 AM, specified that after the declaration of being significantly corrupt, Horacio Cartes is known in the world except for the country’s authorities. «The Public Ministry, and the judicial authorities of the country where they are, the world knows that Horacio Manuel Cartes is the head of transnational organized crime except in the country, where he has most of his operations or at least the great part that he does not have. a process.

We knew who Cartes was, he is a drug dealer in the world, or else he is a money launderer and if not a smuggler, to summarize he is the head of transnational organized crime, but in the country he is a successful businessman and that is what must end”, he emphasized.

Alegre added that if attorney general Sandra Quiñónez does not resign, she should be removed.
