In the last hours the counting of the minutes of the judicial elections has concluded in the nine departments of the country, so they met all the authorities elected to the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ), the Council of the Judiciary (CM), the Agro-Environmental Court (TA) and the Plurinational Constitutional Court (TCP).
Santa Cruz was the last department to close the vote count, which Romer Saucedo Gómez was declared the winner as a magistrate to the TSJ. Saucedo beat Mirian Rossel Terrazas.
“I want to thank God, that his will prevailed. Also to my parents and my entire family,” said Saucedo. at the Departmental Electoral Court (TDE) of Santa Cruz, where he followed the count, along with family and friends.
The other judges at the TSJ are: Norma Velasco Mosquera (Potosí)Carlos Eduardo Ortega (Chuquisaca), Rosmery Ruiz Martínez (Tarija), Primo Martínez Fuentes (Oruro), Germán Saúl Pardo Uribe (Cochabamba) and Fanny Coaquira (La Paz).
Beni and Pando voted to elect authorities to the TSJ, so the judges who are currently in office will remain in their positions. These departments did not vote either to elect authorities to the TCP.
Plurinational Constitutional Court
Only the departments of La Paz, Oruro, Potosí and Chuquisaca elected TCP authorities. The titular magistrates are: Ángel Edson Dávalos Rojas (Chuquisaca), Paola Verónica Prudencio Candia (Oruro), Amalia Laura Villca (Potosí) and Boris Wilson Arias López (La Paz).
Judicial Council
In the CM, the Plurinational Electoral Body (OEP) declared winners to the judges Manuel Baptista (23.33%), Carlos Spencer (14.16%) and Gabriela Araoz (8.56%), who led the vote nationwide.
Agro-environmental Court
While in the TA Five authorities were elected: Rocío Vásquez (17.87%), Roxana Chávez (11.77%), Víctor Hugo Claure (10.50%), Richard Méndez (10.24%) and María Soledad Peñafiel (9.99%).
