SAN LUIS POTOSÍ, Mexico.- On social networks he likes to post photos and leave pictures of his walks, birthdays, visits to hotels and, above all, his businesses. And it is that Tamara Marrero Cruzsister of the Cuban prime minister, does not find it imprudent to show off how successful she is and how many advantages she seems to enjoy from her blood ties with someone in power.
In several of his personal and business accounts, what is his main venture stands out: Relax Jaracho, a Spa which includes various types of massages and facial treatments based on completely natural products.
Relax Jaracho, however, does not appear to be registered as one of the existing medium and small businesses (MSMEs) in Cuba. In none of the listings Of the businesses, the name of the Spa is not shown nor anything else referenced as Personal Services (massages, sauna, Turkish baths), which is the name given to this type of company.
Relax Jaracho
At least since April 2021 Tamara has promoted her Spa Relax Jaracho. His business, located in his house in the city of Holguín, consists of a large room, with two beds, air conditioning and in an adjacent room, a bathroom.
Relax Jaracho prides itself on providing services with 100% natural products, as Tamara herself promotes. From chocolate therapy to clay treatments and facial masks with oats and honey, her methods show that she has access to products available at high prices and in MSMEs.
At the Spa he has developed his own eponymous brand, to sell coconut oil, cocoa, oatmeal mask, clay mask, rice mask and corojo oil, all labeled with the logo of his business.
Relax Jaracho, however, is not limited to the walls of the room where massages and treatments are applied.
Recently, Tamara has acquired a space in the Plaza de la Marqueta in the heart of Holguin. In this local development project, belonging to the Art Services Company, and intended for the marketing of various crafts and artisanal products, Relax Jaracho has a stand.
“There is everything from gifts for special moments to your Relax products; essential oils, aroma dispensers, incense, candles, cups, trays, even distinctive details of Holguín”, manifested on Instagram Jorge Zayas, friend of Tamara and owner of an event design business, “Decoraciones Jorge e Iran.”
Paradisus, your second home
Manuel Marrero’s sister is also – and primarily – a Spa Aguas de Oro sales promoter, at the Paradisus Rio de Oro hotel, where she has worked for almost a decade since, judging by the hotel’s publications, since August 2015 she appears associated with the resort’s Spa.
His stay at Paradisus has facilitated his business, since it is in this hotel where he establishes contact with his clients and where he also circulates his products.
During the day, Tamara works as a masseuse and sales specialist at the resort’s Spa and on days off and after her work hours, she is in charge of Relax Jaracho, as revealed by the influencer. Alain Paparazzi from tourist conversations with Tamara.
In Paradisus, and perhaps because of his offspring, he is the main contact to channel donations from humanitarian aid groups that frequently bring supplies, clothing, and medicines to Holguín children.
Not just Tourists is the name of the humanitarian aid group for Cuba. From Canada, people who stay at Paradisus organize the donations and Marrero’s sister receives them at the hotel.
In a country where activists like José Luis Tan Estrada They are harassed for their humanitarian work in which they collect supplies and medicines for children in hospitals. Tamara enjoys total freedom of action and shines as an intermediary between foreign groups and the institutions of the regime.
This Monday he celebrated the reception of a first group of two suitcases that were taken to Guantánamo, where Hurricane Oscar caused serious damage in its path.
Most of the donations from Not just Tourists They are taken to the “Octavio De la Concepción de la Pedraja” Pediatric Hospital of Holguín. In the photos of the hospital thanking the donations, Tamara’s face always appears.
A very public private life
Tamara’s life revolves around nights out, restaurants, hotel pools, gym or personal training and even Yomil’s reggaeton concerts at Club Bariay.
Their birthdays are quite spectacular, which include photography sessions, decorations and cakes with the number representative of the number of years they have turned.
Always smiling, with bottles of Baileys or some other drink, Tamara’s stay in Cuba seems to be as pleasant as it is not for the citizens who struggle to find a little food for their family.
His daughters, also privileged
In her adventures and celebrations she was usually accompanied by her daughters Giselle Selcis and Lorena Selcis. However, Giselle arrived in the United States through the Mexican border in 2022, where she requested asylum.
Subsequently, Lorena Selcis arrived in that country in December 2023 thanks to humanitarian parole, a program implemented by the Biden administration in January 2023.
Lorena, the young woman whose quinceañera party was celebrated in luxury by Tamara in 2017, at the Siboney Club in Holguín, with a careful decoration by her friend Jorge Zayas’ business, now resides in a country that Manuel Marrero and the rest of rulers tend to attack and criticize and consider them the “enemy.”
Luis Domínguez, president of the Repressors project, said well. Cubansabout Tamara’s daughters: “They are two young people from the elite, two of those who benefit from power in Cuba. Neither they nor their family have ever had trouble and not even they believe in their uncle’s promises that the country will improve. “They left too.”
While Tamara’s social networks are filled with publications from pro-government figures like Gerardo Hernández and others and she repeats the regime’s slogans, she and her daughters have lived in a parallel Cuba, one reserved only for those privileged by the regime.
