Different business entities expressed this Friday their repudiation of the attack against Vice President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, demanded a rapid clarification of the fact and urged the entire society to defend peace and democracy.
In this sense, the Argentine Industrial Union (UIA), the Argentine Chamber of Commerce and Services (CAC), the Argentine Chamber of Construction (Camarco), the General Business Confederation of the Argentine Republic (Cgera) and Industrial Argentine SMEs ( IPA).
In her statement, the UIA manifested “his most energetic repudiation of the attack”and ratified the commitment of its members “to peace, dialogue and basic consensus that will allow the country to move forward.”
“That is why we call on all sectors of society to end the antinomies and maintain the debates within the framework of Democracy,” added the entity, which in turn resolved to maintain the central act for the Day of the Industry, which will take place this Friday in Neuquén, although without the presence of President Alberto Fernández, who was going to deliver a speech at the closing of the event.
The CAC also expressed “his strongest condemnation of the attempted assassination of the vice president of the Nation, Cristina Fernández de Kirchner”, and advocated that “Justice work independently and quickly in order to clarify the unfortunate fact and punish the guilty.”
The entity urged citizens to “make their best efforts to maintain social peace, particularly in a situation as delicate as the current one.”
“The natural differences inherent in any community must be resolved without resorting to violence of any kind, permanently betting on dialogue and the search for agreements,” he added, in addition to warning that “when it is not possible to reach consensus, the institutions must be appealed to.” of the Republic to settle the disputes, banishing forever repudiable facts like the one that occurred this Thursday, which remind us of dark times that we Argentines had such a hard time overcoming”.
For its part, the Argentine Chamber of Construction repudiated the “violent attack”, expressed its “solidarity with the vice president” and urged society “to preserve peace, an essential issue for life and democracy”.
While, the Cgera joined the repudiation and pointed out that “in the democracy that we knew how to build, these types of events cannot be allowed” and that “sowing hatred has these results.”
“The discussions of the model of the country that we want must take place in the sphere of politics,” he remarked, while recalling that “in Argentine history, the concentrated economic power has not hesitated to use any means to impose its ideas.”
Likewise, he assured that “what underlies the aggressions that the former president has been suffering is the discussion of the collective development project that we want for our country, which is reflected in the 12 years of industrial growth and distribution of wealth.”
The entity pointed out that “it also depends on the commitment of the Argentine SME business community that these events do not happen again.”
For its part, Industriales Pymes Argentinos (IPA) repudiated the “attempted assassination” and summoned “all members of society, especially those who have positions of leadership representation, to reflect on the importance of avoiding confrontational speeches and joining the calls for sincere dialogue and without half measures.”
After considering this Thursday’s attack “inadmissible”, the entity expressed its “total support” to the vice president in the face of an event that “is not one more, but rather an attack on democracy as a whole,” said its president, Daniel Rosato .
